Visiting the Guggenheim Museum, I discovered the work by German-Venezuelan artist Gertrud Goldschmidt, also known as Gego. I loved her artistic approach with her sculptures and paintings. Her use of abstraction using simple lines and shapes became a huge point of inspiration. An additional inspiration to this collection is the aesthetic of Issey Miyake and the idea that math is all around us— even in art.
